A. No it doesnt analyze candlestick patterns, but yes its a good, reliable indicator thats driving it.

Is the indicator really necessary for the Carry Grid EA to trade? Or is it mostly for manuel trading?

It is necessary that it is in the indicators folder, as it is referenced and used by the EA, but it is not required to be on the chart. I find it a useful reference, but as you said, its not required to be on the chart for the EA to work.
