I have the trial PointBreak version installed. It's been running for a couple weeks on a demo
account. But it is not making any trades. I have the EA turned on (smily face in corner.) All
the appropriate messages are showing up as per the guide. And I have allow live trading checked.
Can you please advise?
A. Usually it does not open any trades because some broker that do not allow micro account on their demo account, like FXDD.
You can open demo account using $100,000 deposit and the EA will run.
and open demo accoun at Intrebank FX to compare. InterbankFX allow micro account at their demo
account. You do not have to open live account, just need to compare it.
Please come back to us after you have set $100,000 and it still does not run with:
Your broker, your deposit account, your current PointBreak Build release date, and a screenshot.

The keltner indicator and pointbreak.tpl files - where to put them?
A. The keltner indicator goes in the indicators folder (which is in the experts folder)
pointbreak.tpl goes in templates in the root folder. ie c:/program files/interbankfx/templates
PointBreak5-Demo.ex4 goes in the experts folder.
Restart MT4 and you can then use the EA and access the template and indicator.

What about 'hosting' services as I
am ready to go live with initially $10,000 with the
'carrygrid EA' at Interbank FX.
A. With hosting, if you are a subscriber for the Pointbreak EA full package, its free to use. If you have purchased carrygrid, then its available for $25/month, paid via a paypal subscription. We currently support both Interbankfx and FXDD accounts.

Regarding both systems, what happens if I am running either of them and I lose my internet and/or power connection either instantaneously (with reconnect in just a few
seconds) or for a prolonged period of time? What happens to the system operation and how are current trade positions affected?
A. If your connection goes down for a few seconds, this is not a problem. IF you can arrange a backup internet connection and a UPS then you should be ok. The PointBreak EA
also includes special functions to store the current state so in case of such a problem it does not interrupt its operation.

Why does the EA not support backtesting?
Answer.
1. We want to protect our years of research (time and money) to produce the EA.
2. We provide the video of the backtesting which they can see how the EA performs in backtesting.
Also we provide full back testing results (including all records) which you can download in full (8mb in total)
3. The best way to test any EA is how the EA performance in forward test not in the backtesting, since everyone can optimize / curve fitting it to the current history.
That's why its important to view the past forward results of the EA, including the live trading results.
No EA (as for as I know) has been tested with large capital (ie 100,000); and still consistent making profit.

I'm interested with your new robot ea, PointBreak. I'm new at forex trading, i wonder if;
1. The EA is suitable for small account size (< less than 5k or probably 1k) ?
SUGGESTED CAPITAL:
For Standard Account, the suggested minimum capital is $5000-$10,000.
For Mini Account the suggested minimum capital is $1,000-$2,000.
2. EA have to be on all the time 24/5 ?
Answer: Yes it does. We do have EA hosting facilities available if required, which are free for subscribers (subject to availability).
3. It is only for use with a specific pair ?
Answer: Yes, EURUSD on the 30 minute chart
Q. Once you have put the template in the template folder,
what do you do with it when you open the platform?
A. To use the template just right click on a chart, select template then PointBreak. This will change the display to use the keltner and volume. It will not add the EA however
so you need to add that in also.

I'm testing both Carry Grid and Point Break right now on demo account, I still not decided which one I would like to use.
But I want to ask about the trial reliability compare with the full version. I hope to get similar result when it on live account..
Because I read lin's blog regarding point break ea and I found this statement : "Note: The demo version do not have the MSP function; its only dummy to give some look and
feel."
So does the trial mimics the full feature (for both CarryGrid and PointBreakEA) ? or the trial is only to shown what the screen looks and characteristic of the EA and not
perform the full capability of your strategy ?
A. The carrygrid trial is identical to the full version in functionality.
For the PointBreak EA yes there are lots of features in the full version that the lite edition doesnt have. The idea is the full version will be BETTER than the trial version
in terms of being able to perform at different levels and execute different cycles. The MSP parameter requires some knowledge to operate and so is not functional in the trial version.

I saw your software and i think it will be good , but i need demo or trail or something else for sure ... can you provide it for me?
and also i saw that you have Paypal as payment system , but i dont have it , do you have any other payment system? (e-gold - webmoney or ... )

The full version of the Pointbreak EA - does that come with source code?
A. No we do not provide source code for any of the EA's to protect our intellectual copyright.

If I have to restart either Metatrader or the server I have it running on and its only down for just a few minutes do I need to delete all the Global variables each time I
restart? What are the rules for if I have open trades or not and Metatrader is restarted
A. You do not neeed to delete the Global Variables,.
The Global Variables functions works like this:
if somehow your MT4 down, closed or disconnect from the internet; you just open again and continue;
because the global variable tell the EA your previous condition and setting.
you do not need to do anything;
Unless you want to start a new demo account; then you must delete all global variable.
